New Policy:

Agents can now activate the Set Your Own Commission (SYOC) benefit with rebookings that utilize Future Travel Credit earned by the Rebook Now. Recharge Later. 25% bonus offer. This amount may be equal to or less than the SYOC on their original booking. If SYOC was not on the original booking, agents may add up to $150 to the new reservation. As of 6/8/20, advisors may also add Travel Protection Plus with the voucher-only option to all rebookings, regardless of whether or not TPP was included in the first booking! When your customers are ready to rebook, not only will they receive a refund (less any applicable penalties and non-refundable scheduled air value) in the form of Future Travel Credit, but also an additional 25% credit to use on their new reservation! Please note that, if your client received an air credit from a scheduled airline and would like to use it on their new booking, rebookings must be on the same air carrier and must follow the airline’s guidelines for rebooking so that we may transfer the air credit from the original reservation. The Future Travel Credit can be applied to new bookings made and traveled through 12/15/21^. When the time is right and your clients are ready to lock in their next vacation using their Future Travel Credit, please follow the step-by-step guide in our Self-Help Guide to complete. For bookings made 6/8/20 and later, you will be able to add Travel Protection Plus for voucher credit only to their new reservation using your client’s Future Travel Credit. The Power To Change, Save Time and Earn $50 in Bonus Commission
Requesting Future Travel Credit has never paid off better. Now, when you complete the process online of cancelling, requesting credit, rebooking, and then transferring the credit to the new booking through VAX VacationAccess, you’ll earn an extra $50 in commission for that new reservation … automatically!
To request Future Travel Credit in VAX, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to VAX
2. From the top navigation, select “Retrieve Reservations”
3. Pull up your reservation using the reservation number or by filling in the search form
4. Scroll down to your Itinerary Tools, then click on the “Cancel” tab
5. Hit the “Complete Cancel” button in that tab and wait for the confirmation screen to load
6. “Canceled: Reservation #” will appear on the top left. To the right, before the pricing stamp box displaying pricing breakdown, select the hyperlink that reads “Fund Request” in order to process the credit.
Note: Customers choosing the travel credit for bookings made through 5/31/20, with travel scheduled to be completed by 9/30/20, will receive travel credit for the amount of their refund … plus an additional 25%! Bookings made on or after 6/1/20 will be issued as travel credit in the amount they would be normally owed.
7. In the pop-up box, enter your information.
8. Input any notes, then click “Complete”

When your client is ready to rebook, please make the new booking and either click Rebook Recharge Transfer Form (if booked prior to 5/31/2020) to transfer the funds from the original booking to the new booking. 

Frequently Asked Questions:
Can my clients’ Future Travel Credit be applied to multiple reservations?
Yes, but the travel credit must be used for a new booking within the same brand as the original booking.

Can my client give their Future Travel Credit to someone else?
No, at least one person on the original reservation needs to be on the new booking.

How will I know the value of my clients’ Future Travel Credit?
You will receive an email from ALGV Accounting with amount details. Travel credit will be issued in lead passenger’s name or individual cardholders’ names for bookings with multiple payments. If payment was made by the travel agent rather than the customer, credit will be issued in lead passenger’s name.

Will I receive anything other than an email regarding my clients’ Future Travel Credit?
No, only an email will be sent with the information.

How long is my clients’ Future Travel Credit valid for?
Travel credit must be redeemed and used by 12/15/21. Any travel credit that goes unused by 12/15/21 will be forfeited.

If my client receives a Future Travel Credit + 25% and rebooks, but then has to cancel the rebooked trip, can they get travel credit again with the 25% bonus?
No, this offer can only be redeemed once.

What if I already received a refund or Future Travel Credit from Apple Leisure Group® Vacations on my prior vacation? Am I eligible for this offer?
No, this offer is not retroactive.

Is this policy valid for contracted and FIT groups?
Yes, bookings without Travel Protection Plus requesting a refund will be issued Future Travel Credit, plus an additional 25%.
