6 Fab Destinations to Tie the Knot in 2020

Need a little help finding the perfect place to hold your nuptials? Whether you dream of being whisked away to a far-off land or want something a little closer to home, one of these trending destinations might have a beach, fjord or chapel calling you and your loved one’s name.

1. Las Vegas

Whether you opt for the classic Vegas wedding, Elvis impersonator and all, or something a little more ritzy like botanical gardens and elaborate chapels, Sin City has something for every couple at every budget. Best of all, the party never stops on the Vegas Strip. Love birds and their guests only have to make one trip for an exciting rehearsal dinner, fabulous ceremony, gorgeous reception and a wild honeymoon that all happen in one iconic spot.

2. Lake Como

Looking to throw a Mediterranean wedding in a destination more laid-back than Tuscany or the Amalfi Coast? Say hello to Italy’s Lake Como, a quaint resort area most famous for its dramatic alpine scenery, tasty wines and top-notch service that also happens to be a top contender for one of the world’s best destination wedding locations. Exchange vows at a lakeside hotel or an off-the-beaten-path cantina followed by a lake cruise for the after party of a lifetime. Even better, Lake Como is just 25 miles north of Milan and within quick flying distance of other great cities like Geneva, Zurich and Venice, making it a great spot for couples and guests to enjoy some post-wedding adventures.

3. Vietnam

For a far-flung occasion, consider a wedding bash in Vietnam. Glorious white-sand beaches, beautiful weather and charming culture, Vietnam is the romantic paradise you may not have considered. For a ceremony by the shore, visit fabulous Hoi An or Nha Trang. If an urban setting is more your style, check out the bustling city of Hanoi for the ultimate mix of modern and cultural charm. Either way, be sure to visit to Vietnam’s mountainous region of Cao Bang after the celebration for an up-close-and-personal look at the area’s mountain peaks, waterfalls and riversides.

4. Ireland

For a fairytale-esque service, take your destination wedding party to Ireland, the land of green rolling hills, chiseled cliffside views and majestic castles. Sure, there might be a little drizzle, but that’s just par for the course in Ireland’s mild and wet climate. Besides, it will be worth it when you and your love say “I do” with a celebratory pint of Guinness to follow.

5. Bora Bora

Location, location, location; overwater bungalows and blue sky as far as the eye can see, Bora Bora is what comes to mind when one imagines the perfect setting for a beachy destination wedding. Seeing as this French Polynesian delight is a little slice of heaven on earth, it’s a no-brainer that Bora Bora is also a popular place to elope. Whether you make the journey with your favorite group of people or just with your sweetie, the available venues will be sure not to disappoint.

6. Norway

Although the weather can be unpredictable in some cities, Norway’s otherworldly fjords and fabulous mountains make it a 2020 destination wedding must. Luckily, setbacks like rain can be planned for with a little research. Besides, you know what they say – rain on your wedding day is good luck. Wedding season in Norway runs year-round and couples can choose from a magical winter wonderland or a floral summer fling in the summer. While in the area, consider adopting one of the many Norwegian traditions like the one where the couple goes under the table to kiss each time guests stomp their feet.
