On June 20, Los Cabos once again welcomed flights from key U.S. cities, marking a monumental step forward in the destination’s reopening approach. Flights from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Charlotte, Houston, and Chicago resumed to Los Cabos, which is incredibly important to the destination, as travelers from the U.S. make up 80% of all of its international travelers.
On July 4, twice-weekly direct flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will resume to Los Cabos. The very first flight is “marks an important milestone for the destination as we continue to work on increasing airlift from the East Coast of the United States for the Summer and upcoming Fall season,” said Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of Los Cabos Tourism Board, in a recent press release.
Los Cabos created a Health & Safety Advisory Toolkit to help keep travelers informed of the efforts the destination is taking to ensure the safety of visitors. The toolkit includes more information on Los Cabos’ five-phased reopening plan as well as a list of the hotels as they reopen.
