Travel Impressions Wants You to Get Social

As part of its commitment to putting EducaTIon First, Travel Impressions has declared the last half of 2019 its Semester of Social. Launched in July 2019, the Semester of Social umbrella program is a series of social media-based learning opportunities with different topics and formats that will run until January 2020. Through these, travel agents have the opportunity to engage in a packed calendar of social media takeovers that provide nonstop voyeuristic snapshots via #OnLocaTIon and #WeekendLearning Series installments.

Each installment focuses on providing agents with insider selling tips for some of Travel Impressions’ newest properties and developments to hit the market, in addition to pop-up promotional codes for immediate use to boost the strength of their sale. The Semester will also include coverage of the hottest industry events—like TI’s upcoming annual Best of the Best celebration—and will give top-booking agents the chance to win prize stays for select campaigns.

“We are taking our EducaTIon First emphasis further this year with our Semester of Social, and encourage agents to stay connected with us on Facebook to find out what we mean,” said Scott Wiseman, president of Travel Impressions. “We will be providing valuable updates on learning opportunities in addition to the unfiltered coverage agents have come to look forward to with our #OnLocaTIon program and the insider features we highlight with the #WeekendLearning Series.”

The kick-off campaign was a #WeekendLearning Series entitled #RIUpdates, which focused on two complexes within the all-inclusive RIU Hotels & Resorts brand: Costa Mujeres and Los Cabos. Every weekend in July provided peeks and lesser-known facts about every property there, plus glimpses of the Splash Water World aqua park in both developments and the RIU Pool Party concept at RIU Los Cabos. Part 2 of #RIUpdates began just this month, in October, focusing on updates and renovations across the board for the resort brand. The first week answered questions about the brand’s new social packages, but followers can look forward to never-before-released images of new features at properties in Mexico’s east and west coasts—Riu Emerald Bay, Riu Vallarta, Riu Palace Riviera Maya—as well as in Jamaica, Bahamas, and Dominican Republic.

Another #WeekendLearning Series that’s receiving the redux treatment is #RockinLosCabos, as Travel Impressions goes #OnLocaTIon at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. The month-long #WeekendLearning Series went live in August, but the on-site #OnLocaTIon Facebook takeover will launch Monday, Nov. 4 and will run until Friday, Nov. 8. This weeklong event will feature immersive moment-by-moment coverage of the new resort including an exclusive sneak peek at neighboring resort Nobu Hotel Los Cabos. Other highlights include: evening entertainment, on-site activities, an inside look at the on-site music studio, delicious food and drink and more.

However, #RockinLosCabos isn’t the first #OnLocaTIon of the season: #TIGetsPHamous took followers to the brand-new Planet Hollywood Costa Rica just last month, September 2019, for a full all-access pass to the incredible debut of this new line of all-inclusive concepts. A pop-up promo code paired with in-depth, detailed looks at just how much this resort includes, sweetened sales for agent clients.

Just a short couple of weeks after #RockinLosCabos concludes, the Semester of Social will bring agents to Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun with a special live social media takeover of Travel Impressions’ 2019 Best of the Best agent appreciation celebration, an event to honor top agents with supplier partners. Agents can join in on all the fun by following #TIBOB2019 for live updates on workshops, festivities and activities at the event.
