Marketing Campaign: VAX’s Destination Wedding Campaign
< back to submissions pageDecember is the most popular time of year for engagements in the U.S. Combine that with the fact that one in four weddings is a destination wedding and that 60% of agents on VAX say they sell destination weddings, and it’s clear VAX is the place to be in the fall to increase awareness of the destination wedding market. VAX dedicated four weeks in 2018 to helping agents take advantage of this opportunity and provide them with the tools to market themselves as destination wedding experts.
Campaign highlights
- Each week, VAX focused on a different content theme, from destination weddings 101 to tailoring the destination wedding experience and advice from wedding experts.
- VAX provided custom marketing tools, like e-postcards and flyers for agents to send to their clients to help promote their services.
- VAX’s interactive wedding match tool continues to be enhanced to help agents find the perfect destination and resort for their clients’ wedding.
- This tool has been used over 4,500 times by 3,500 agents
- The decision tree and planning timeline is extremely valuable to agents to get a better understanding of the average time a destination wedding takes to plan from start to finish and give them the confidence to know that they can do it on their own.
- Two out of the seven supplier’s hosted webinars dedicated to destination weddings showcasing their wedding accommodations.
- Running pre, during and post-campaign polls helped give us an idea on where agents were knowledge-wise and gave us insight on what content they may be looking for.
