Less than 18 months after launching its travel advisor specialist program — ALGVPro — ALG Vacations® (ALGV) is reporting overwhelming success and performance from over 12,000 ALGVPro graduates. ALGVPro-certified advisors statistically perform better, on average booking 10% more than non-certified advisors. They also sell more Travel Protection Plus (TPP), Exclusive Nonstop Vacation Flights (ENVF) and higher-value, luxury products, thereby earning more commission.
ALGVPro is ALGV’s self-paced, on-demand online education program for travel advisors to learn and engage in its destinations, products, brands, services and more. The online modules cover a wide variety of topics, from time-saving tips and tricks for navigating and using VAX VacationAccess most efficiently to selling Europe and determining which TPP option is best for a particular client.
Most advisors begin with the Recommended Path, starting with the basic curriculum and working their way to the advanced, while some seasoned advisors opt to test out of the ALGV 101 modules and go right to the Accelerated Path. “The Recommended path is great even for experienced advisors,” said Sarah Bonsall, travel advisor at Latitude 21 Travel. “I have been working in VAX since the beginning and (even I have) learned new stuff!” The modules range from only three to 11 minutes in length, so it's easy to complete them little by little, on a self-paced basis.
ALGVPro demonstrates the nuanced differences and similarities between ALGV’s six distinct brands, so the courses help advisors determine which brand most closely aligns with a client’s needs and preferences.

Only ALGVPro-certified advisors are eligible to win prizes and earn WAVEMAKER® status. Certification is also required to attend FAM trips and most events including Ascend, allowing advisors to get more out of such events due to being pre-equipped with ALGV training.
