American Airlines just made summer travel easier.

The airline recently opened 15 new gates at Dallas Fort Worth Airport’s Terminal E Satellite. An extension of Terminal E, Terminal E Satellite can be accessed through an underground walkway near gate E21. The tunnel spans a daunting 500 feet, but don’t worry it’s equipped with moving walkways to assist travels as they do the terminal shuffle.

In addition to the new gates, DFW is also celebrating the opening of two new restaurants, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and Whataburger. Terminal E Satellite is also set for a pending Admiral’s Club scheduled to open later this year.

American Airlines has enjoyed tremendous growth recently, especially in its largest city, Dallas-Forth Worth. The expansion of Terminal E Satellite is a temporary solution to assist the airliner until the airport can build a sixth terminal, Terminal F, to meet American Airlines’ needs for years to come.
