As a travel advisor, it’s crucial to gain firsthand experiences for clients through attending FAM trips and conferences throughout the year. The industry continues to evolve, and exploring a product up close is the best way to gain new insights.

A favorite among advisors is the American Society of Travel Advisors’ (ASTA) River Cruise Expo, which takes place in March and gives attendees the chance to step onboard and explore several different river cruise ships in one week. Due to overwhelming demand, ASTA has officially reopened registration for this event.

This year's River Cruise Expo takes place March 11-15, 2026, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Additional docking space has been secured, which will allow for 15 river cruise ships and even more attendees to join the event than ever before.

Advisors have a lot to look forward to this year: Celebrity Cruises and Trafalgar Tours are making their debut at the supplier trade show; there will be an expanded two-day general session; Elizabeth Gilbert, bestselling author of Eat, Pray, Love, is the keynote; and Sarah Little, ASTA's senior vice president of business development, will be honored as the Godmother of AmaWaterways’ AmaSofia.

Registration for this event is limited. If you missed it the first time around and want to grab your spot now, click here.
