Instead of simply celebrating one day in May, suppliers have decided to show appreciation to their travel advisor partners all month long. They are doing so by offering promotions, incentives and new education programs. Here is what some of the suppliers have on offer this month.

ALG Vacations

Featuring vacation brands including Apple Vacations®, Funjet Vacations®, Travel Impressions®, Southwest Vacations®, Blue Sky Tours® and United Vacations, ALG Vacations is celebrating advisor’s success with “More Prizes, More Promotions, and More Possibilities.” Giveaways include iPads, hotel discounts, savings on ENVFs and more. “ALG Vacations is dedicated to the travel advisor community. We have gratitude for our advisors every day of the year, but May is when we take our appreciation to another level,” explained Jacki Marks, ALGV’s Global Head of Trade Brands.

Avanti Destinations

Independent travel specialist Avanti Destinations is celebrating advisors’ hard work by offering a $25 gift card for each FIT land booking of $5,000 or more made in the month of May for travel through the end of 2023. There is no limit to the amount of gift cards earned.

“Our travel advisor partners are the cornerstone of Avanti’s success,” said Paul Barry, Avanti’s chairman. “We want them to know how much we appreciate their hard work.”

Hilton

Hilton has a sweepstakes going on in May for travel advisors to participate in. Advisors simply need to watch a short video and take a quiz afterward. Ten winners will get 80,000 Hilton Honors Points to be used at any of Hilton’s 7,100 properties. More details can be found here.

“As we kick off Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, I’m pleased to share that we’ve relaunched our new travel advisor portal, travelagents.hilton.com and expanded our travel agency business development team to support increased agency business,” said Veronique Deblois VTA, CTIE, senior director, Global Travel Partnerships, Hilton, adding that the company has also revamped its travel advisor rates program.

Riviera River Cruises

Riviera River Cruises showed its appreciation all week providing advisors and their clients with the chance to win gift cards, a free cruise and drink packages.

“As the only European river cruise line that accepts bookings exclusively from travel advisors, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without our partners in the agency community,” said Marilyn Conroy, Riviera River Cruises’ executive vice president sales and marketing North America. “To celebrate advisors’ efforts this year, we have incentives that benefit both them and their clients. We hope you’ll think of us first when looking at vacations on Europe’s rivers and waterways.”

Sandals Resorts

Gary C. Sadler, the Executive Vice President of Sales and Industry Relations at Unique Vacations Inc., took the stage at the ASTA Global Convention this week and shared his appreciation for advisors. He also announced new bookings of six nights or more at Sandals Resorts made this month are eligible for an incentive of up to $200 on top of the commission made.

"Travel advisors have been key characters throughout every chapter of our more than 40-year history and have played a leading role in the industry's resurgence," said Sadler. "We're proud to have them as partners in our joint success and to champion the critical work of ASTA in recognizing the incredible travel advisor community today, and every day."
