A place where the classic LEGO Brick takes center stage, LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort have long been favorite destinations among fun-loving travelers. Whether they’re vacationing with young children and family are on a solo adventure or as part of a young-at-heart couple, LEGOLAND theme parks captivate and amaze visitors with their elaborate, sometimes larger-than-life displays; thrilling all-ages rides and coasters; creative building workshops and more.

LEGO Galaxy and Galacticoaster
Earlier this year, LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort celebrated a huge milestone: the grand opening of LEGO Galaxy, a fresh, out-of-this-world space-themed land. In the works for over three years, Merlin Entertainments, the parent company behind LEGOLAND, said the parks are immersive and story-driven, with the main attraction in both locations being Galacticoaster, an indoor ride and Merlin’s most technologically advanced coaster to date utilizing touch screens and RFID wristbands.
According to Merlin, Galacticoaster puts parkgoers in control of their destiny with the ability to design and customize their “spacecraft,” which is then recognized throughout the attraction. It’s a fun mix of digital storytelling and real-life thrills visitors of all ages love.
"Galacticoaster redefines the family coaster experience, by giving every guest the chance to create their own customised space adventure, placing creativity at the heart of the thrill,” said Fiona Eastwood, CEO of Merlin Entertainments. “This innovative approach reflects our determination to provide a compelling proposition that brings every family together through play. It is a capability unique to Merlin – and one that underpins the distinctiveness of our guest offer.”
Merlin invested $94 million into LEGO Galaxy, representing the company’s largest single in-park commitment. Including the parks in Florida and California, Merlin has a global portfolio of 11 LEGOLAND Resorts across nine countries.
“Merlin is prioritising investment in the locations with the greatest potential for growth,” said Eastwood. “We are evolving our LEGOLAND Resorts into iconic short break destinations, increasing the length of stay for our guests, driving higher per capita spend and strengthening our position to capture increased market share in the United States. These groundbreaking new attractions embody the scale, ambition and imagination that will define Merlin’s next chapter in this market.”
LEGO Ferrari Build & Race
LEGOLAND New York Resort recently introduced LEGO Ferrari Build & Race, an exciting, hands-on experience where guests can create their own miniature Ferrari race car using LEGO bricks before taking it to compete on a high-speed, lifelike track. Featuring an impressive full-size replica of the Ferrari 12Cilindri, the attraction is truly a sight to behold for fans of racing and LEGO alike.
“The LEGO Ferrari Build & Race experience captivates children, especially those who love cars by blending the creative power of LEGO bricks with the thrill of high-speed racing,” said LEGO on its website. “This attraction turns young fans into engineers and drivers, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills while delivering an adrenaline rush as their custom-built cars zoom across the track.”
Holidays at LEGOLAND
‘Brick or Treat’ and Halloween
Halloween festivities are kicking off early at LEGOLAND with “Brick or Treat,” the park’s annual kid-friendly event running on select dates Sept. 5 - Oct. 31, 2026, at LEGOLAND Florida Resort and select dates Sept 19 - Nov 1, 2026, at LEGOLAND California Resort. In addition to what will probably be kiddo’s most memorable trick or treating experience ever, parkgoers can expect live shows and entertainment, LEGO Monster meet and greets and costume contests in addition to limited-time food, drinks, decor, photo ops and more.
LEGOLAND California Resort is advertising what it calls “Halloween spaceship elements for Galacticoaster” in addition to “Brick or Treat Street,” an interactive trick-or-treat experience including six life-sized LEGO Monster homes inspired by beloved LEGO Minifigures.
The Jolliest Time of the Year
Travelers can add some LEGO magic to their holiday celebrations when they visit LEGOLAND California Resort on select dates throughout November and December and LEGOLAND Florida Resort on select dates in November, December and January. With festive fun included in the price of general admission, both parks will feature an impressive display of LEGO decor and lights, soaring LEGO Christmas trees, the opportunity to take what the brand is calling “elfies” with their favorite holiday LEGO characters — including LEGO Santa and his reindeer crew — in addition to other Yuletide photo ops and holly jolly entertainment.
Both LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort plan to run special holiday programming at their LEGO-themed hotels including festive pajama dance parties, Christmas-centered fun and decor, an arrival gift to unwrap and early access to park rides and grounds.
