I Stayed There: Fairmont Mayakoba

The Vibe

The welcoming lobby of the Fairmont Mayakoba is open air and boasts scenic views. The friendly staff are willing to answer questions and assist. I was checked in quickly (although I was early) and was told I had access to go enjoy the resort. I received a text when my room was ready. Communication was excellent!

I did go enjoy the resort with the sales executive and sales manager. The guests I saw were younger than I had expected: 20s, 30s and 40s. This resort has a relaxed vibe which I LOVE! At the pools, the boats, the beach, etc., it had a luxurious and relaxed feel everywhere.

How I Felt

Relaxed and stress free! I definitely felt like I was in good hands before my stay and during. The concierge reached out to me several times prior to my arrival. They made suggestions and reservations for the boat tour for me and provided options for the mini bar as well.

The Digs

I stayed in a premium Casita Suite. This suite had plenty of space, walk-in closets (two), beautiful and spacious bathrooms (two), a fully stocked mini-bar, coffee, a living room, a jet tub, and three showers. The one shower is an outdoor shower which was beautiful!

The sliding doors lead to a back deck with a gorgeous view of a po rtion of the manmade canal. The wildlife and lush landscaping were at my fingertips.

The Agenda

I was only at this gorgeous resort for one night but anticipate a return for a longer stay.

My one day/night did allow for me to see a lot of the resort, learn about the different sections that are quite unique from each other, see the progress on the new additional buildings and get a good look at the beautifully remodeled resort and all its restaurants.

The Eats

Brisas Mediterranean was the only restaurant on property I was able to experience. We had a delicious lunch at this beachfront restaurant. The freshly made guacamole and the fish tacos were heavenly.

Why I Would Go Back

The service, the food, the vibe, the accomodations. ALL OF IT! But if I had to say only one, it would be the vibe! I would love to go back and have more time to see the rest of this grand resort and all it has to offer.
