The Vibe

Modern Elegance on a white powdery beach in upscale Hollywood, Florida. The Diplomat Beach Resort, Curio by Hilton feels like a relaxing beach resort, while offering many conveniences. This property offers numerous areas for meeting up with family/friends, coffee shops and even conference rooms for the larger or corporate groups. It seems ideal for any age with so much available.

How I Felt

Comfortable. I definitely felt like I could find anything I needed (concierge, coffee, snacks, shopping, gym, etc.) There were plentiful options in-room, and throughout the resort.

The Digs

The incredible view from my room showcased The Diplomat’s gorgeous white sand beach and the beautiful ocean with its ships, swimmers and amazing sunrises. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable with great Wi-Fi.

The Agenda

My agenda was meetings most of the day, but thankfully I was able to stop at one of the shops to grab a drink and a breakfast bar on my way. I did manage to get to the most amazing pool at The Diplomat for a little while on my first day, and also about 45 minutes (lunch break) to the beach another day. If I was at The Diplomat for vacation time, a good chunk of my time would be at those  beautiful pools!

The Eats

One morning I stopped at Counter Point on my way to a meeting. I had a piece of delicious blueberry sour cream coffeecake. Friendly & speedy service! “WOW” is the best way to describe Diplomat Prime. No detail was spared when the menu was created or when the food is prepared. The black volcanic salt on the butter for the delicious onion bread was surprising. The Prime Filet was tender, flavorful and scrumptious! And finally, the complimentary chocolate truffle is a perfect touch to the fine meal you enjoy.

I also enjoyed a meal from Point Royal’s menu while having a lunch meeting at The Hotel Bar & Lounge. The Hotel Bar & Lounge doesn’t have a kitchen, but they allow you to order from the Point Royal menu and you can enjoy it while also enjoying their fun atmosphere. Another delicious stop was GG’s waterfront just down the road from The Diplomat, it was described to us as a “must do” restaurant while in the area. Those of us that went could definitely see why it is so highly recommended. The snapper (a special- not always on the menu) was ordered and enjoyed by everyone in our party. We all also enjoyed some sides and desserts. Five stars for everything!

Why I Would Go Back

It’s tough to say just one reason. Between the pools, the beach and the gorgeous resort it’s a three-way tie! Hope you can go for a conference, vacation or just for a couple nights before a cruise. You will love it!
