Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH), the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, recently announced plans to resume sailings from U.S. ports later this summer. NCLH’s plan also includes requiring full and complete vaccinations of guests and crew.
Of the three cruise lines under NCLH, Norwegian Cruise Line will be the first back in the water when the Norwegian Jade sails through the Greek Isles, starting in Athens, Greece on July 25 for a seven-day journey. The Norwegian Joy is next with a seven-day cruise through the western Caribbean, starting in Montego Bay, Jamaica on Aug. 7. Then it’s Norwegian Gem’s turn with an eastern Caribbean cruise that starts in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on Aug. 15.
Oceania Cruises is extending its suspension of voyages to include all voyage departures through July 31, 2021 and plans to start again on Aug. 2 with 10 days aboard the Marina, sailing from Stockholm, Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark. There are plenty more August itineraries now bookable.
Like Oceania, Regent Seven Seas Cruises has extended their voluntary suspension of voyages through July 2021 on all ships. Their return is currently planned for Aug. 4 with a seven-night cruise from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, Canada aboard the Seven Seas Explorer. The itinerary is currently waitlisted, meaning you can’t immediately book it and will instead be placed on a waitlist.
When all of NCLH’s cruise brands return, they’ll be operating under NCLH’s SailSAFE™ Health and Safety Program, a robust and comprehensive health and safety strategy designed to protect guests, crew and the communities they visit. This includes a vaccine requirement for all guests and crew at least two weeks prior to embarkation, currently in effect for all sailings through Oct. 31, 2021. NCLH will determine if this requirement is still necessary for future sailings.
COVID-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings, controlled guest capacity and contactless service are all part of the SailSAFE™ strategy to ensure a healthy and safe experience for everyone on board.
