Burrowed at the edge of the San Joaquin Valley and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, the glamping experience reaches a new level of serene at AutoCamp Sequoia. Between the property’s unparalleled views of Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous United States, and AutoCamp’s location in the small town of Three Rivers, California, travelers will be sure to find both utter relaxation and rugged adventures here. Blending outdoor travel with boutique hotel accommodations, read on to discover all that AutoCamp Sequoia can offer.

Lodging Options

Boasting 85 total accommodations, guests have plenty of choices when it comes to their stay on the property. The Airstream campers are one of the main room categories, offering 10 Classic, 18 Premium, 16 Vista, 11 Explorer and four accessible suites, each one with varying perks such as location on the property and level of privacy. The campers do come equipped with heating and cooling systems, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests.

If the Airstreams aren’t a traveler’s preference, AutoCamp also has eight Premium Cabins and a variety of BaseCamp suites. The cabins are comparable to a tiny home setup, providing some extra space and privacy and making it an ideal lodging option for groups of four. The BaseCamp arrangement is another style suitable for larger groups, as these suites utilize both canvas tents and a custom Airstream, sleeping up to six. For families and groups, the Bunk Rooms category might also be of particular interest, as this configuration accommodates up to six guests but offers a more traditional hotel room experience.

Amenities

Aside from the luxurious showers, expansive flat-screen TVs and kitchenettes that accompany the suites, around the property, guests will find a variety of communal spaces. A heated outdoor pool, lounge areas with firepits and complimentary bikes are a handful of ways travelers can soak up this rustic haven.

Additionally, because AutoCamp is located only 15 minutes from Sequoia National Park and an hour and a half from Kings Canyon National Park, activities such as hiking, spelunking (recreational cave exploration), fly fishing and kayaking are some of the most popular among travelers looking to get out and explore the surrounding landscapes.

Back on the property, guests have access to The Kitchen, AutoCamp’s primary food spot open daily. Breakfast, lunch and dinner items are created by local chefs and partners, featuring an array of fresh and delicious options for every meal. Visitors with a busy schedule can also opt for some quick grab-and-go snacks. The General Store is the other food and beverage space, selling AutoCamp’s signature grill or s’mores kits, snacks and local beer and wine.

Event Spaces

While AutoCamp Sequoia is great for the adventurous traveler, its intimate and serene feel also make it suitable for hosting events. The Clubhouse, for instance, is a 3,350-square-foot space adorned in mid-century modern décor. The area is available for small, semi-private groups or a full buyout; lounge areas, games, fire pits and a bar are some of the perks guests have access to. Within The Clubhouse, visitors will also find The Cedar Room, a multipurpose venue suitable for reception dinners, corporate retreats, meetings and workshops and The Pine Room, a private meeting space.

Guests seeking an outdoor area might find that the Ponderosa Lawn meets their needs. A rather private spot and overlooking a nearby burbling river, this part of the property is great for reception dinners, large retreat gatherings and other outdoor celebrations.

Travelers interested in glamping at AutoCamp Sequoia can access this elevated glamping experience in other locations as well. The brand has a wide portfolio with properties in Yosemite, CA; Cape Cod, MA; Joshua Tree, CA; Zion, UT; Russian River, CA; and Asheville, NC; with Hill Country, TX, coming soon.
