Following a multi-million-dollar renovation and the earning of its AAA Four Diamond designation, Secrets St. Lucia celebrated its first anniversary with a Carnival of the Senses themed party. Held during the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority’s 2026 Saint Lucia Showcase International, the resort welcomed more than 300 guests to an evening consisting of Saint Lucian music, dance, fashion and cuisine.
“Celebrating our first anniversary alongside our recent AAA Four Diamond recognition is a testament to our exceptional team, our partners, and the warm welcome we have received from Saint Lucia,” said Carl Ainscough, general manager of Secrets St. Lucia. “We are proud to pair the thoughtful service of the Secrets brand with the island’s culture, natural beauty, and spirit. As we enter our second year, we look forward to creating even more meaningful connections between our guests and the destination.”
In addition to Ainscough, other speakers at the event included Jeff Mullen, president and CEO of Mullen Real Estate Capital; the Honorable Dr. Ernest Hilaire, deputy prime minister and minister for tourism, investment, creative industries, culture and information; Alisteer Nelson, director of sales and marketing; and Christophe Lorvo, vice president of operations for Hyatt Inclusive Collection.
Also in attendance was Her Excellency Nicole Su, ambassador of the republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia; Thaddeus Antoine, chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority; Louis Lewis, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority; representatives from Mullen Real Estate Capital and Hyatt Inclusive Collection; and international travel partners.
The first year was commemorated with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, followed by a fashion show featuring local designers, traditional dances, a spread of cuisine showcasing the flavors of the island and fireworks.
Set on a calm stretch of beach, the 355-room adults-only all-inclusive resort invites guests to explore nine restaurants, seven bars and lounges, three pools, a fitness center and a spa during their stay. And over the past year, the property has grown to a team of approximately 700 members, making it a significant local employer.
“This transformation represented significant investment by our owners, Mullen Real Estate Capital, and a shared vision to create a resort that showcases the very best of Saint Lucia while delivering the exceptional experience associated with Secrets brand,” Ainscough said.
