Whimstay Launches Portal for Travel Advisors To Search, Book and Earn Commission on Vacation Home Rentals

The new resource features hundreds of thousands of properties that travelers are already eyeing on popular platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo.

Whimstay, a vacation rental marketplace featuring professionally managed homes in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and Europe, recently launched its Travel Agent Program, a dedicated booking portal where travel pros can search for and book vacation homes for their clients. According to Whimstay, the new resource allows advisors to earn 10% commission on vacation rental bookings across hundreds of thousands of its properties, many of which also appear on major vacation rental platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo.

“Travel advisors are already helping clients find vacation homes every day, but historically there hasn’t been a clear way for them to earn commission on those bookings,” said Ben Jamshahi, founder and CEO of Whimstay. “We built this program so agents can access the same types of properties their clients are requesting and finally be compensated for the role they play in the booking process.”

According to Whimstay, advisors have two options when working with clients through the Whimstay Travel Agent Portal: 1) they can book for a client by reserving a property directly through their portal account, or 2) they can share a trackable property link with their client so the client can review and complete a booking themselves. Whatever advisors choose, the reservation will remain attributed to their account when the link is shared from the portal.
