Travel is heating up and this summer is looking to be a very busy travel season. Both domestic and international travel are back on the roster, which is a more-than-welcome sign for the industry overall. For those staying stateside, here are six hot destinations travel advisors are looking at for their clients.

1. Orlando

Orlando is a favorite all year round, but summer break makes it easy for families to hit up this theme park hot spot.

Universal Orlando Resort is a must-visit but if you’re looking to visit other parks, SeaWorld Orlando is a great pick; Aqautica Orlando, voted USA’s #1 waterpark, offers a refreshing experience; and Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive retreat in the heart of Orlando. Don’t forget Walt Disney World and don’t forget to book that transportation from your hotel to the theme parks.

2. Las Vegas

Las Vegas gets pretty darn hot in the summer but travelers aren’t letting that stop them from heading out into the desert.

Step away from the casino and take a foodie tour of favorite local spots, a night-time helicopter tour of The Strip or leave the city completely and marvel at the Grand Canyon. If you want to stay amongst the bright lights, you’ll find something to do everywhere you look.

3. Miami

Beaches, nightlife, a vibrant food scene, shopping, history, culture, arts… you won’t miss out this summer in Miami.

Rent some rollerblades and skate down the iconic Miami Beach Boardwalk, get on the water to cruise down Millionaire’s Row to see how the other half live or get a look into Miami’s artsy side in the Wynwood neighborhood.

4. Hawaii

If you’ve been WFH (working from home) for the last year-and-a-half, why not take a break, go big and WFH (work from Hawaii)? Or leave the working part on the mainland. Honolulu and Maui are big destinations for this summer, likely because travelers want to get away in a big way.

On Maui, snorkel the Molokini Crater with the Molokini & Turtle Arches Snorkel from Ma'alaea by Pacific Whale Foundation tour or stay on land with a road to Hana tour or a sunrise tour to Mount Haleakala - the world's largest dormant volcano. On Oahu, visit Pearl Harbor and the iconic USS Arizona Memorial or take the Ultimate Circle Island Tour to see lava flows, craters and waterfall. Plan a multi-island vacation to both Maui and Oahu (where the capitol of Honolulu is) and do it all.

5. Los Angeles

For travelers with stars in their eyes, LA is calling. And there really is no shortage of things to do, whether you’re interested in celebrity spotting, the arts, exciting dining or getting outdoors.

If you’re traveling family-style, Disneyland is just about 30 minutes outside of LA and Universal Studios Hollywood is just north of LA proper. Get in some high-end shopping with a tour of Beverly Hills, hit up the beach with a trip to the Venice boardwalk or take an Instagram tour of the city, where you’ll stop at all the Instagram walls to take an epic pic.

6. New Orleans

New Orleans is really hopping in the summer, with awesome festivals and events all season long.

For travelers who want to go at their own pace, a stroll through the French Quarter, the Garden District or an historic cemetery (with a master storyteller as your guide) may be just the ticket. Fans of American Horror Story will be delighted, too. For foodies, your culinary options are endless in New Orleans, so whether you’re looking for cocktails, beignets or Creole cuisine (and much, much more), you will definitely not go hungry.
