YOU ASKED: My Client Would Like To Return to a Different City Than They Originally Departed From. Can I Book That On VAX?
MAXWELL SAYS: Most advisors don’t even realize how many things they can do all on their own using VAX! On top of that, just like using VAX overall, booking this type of trip is easy to accomplish.
What you’re looking to book is called an Open-Jaw itinerary. Because the pathlines between the airports create an open angle rather than a closed loop, the itinerary resembles an open jawline, giving it this unique name.
To accomplish this type of booking, you want to select the Multiple destinations option on the Advance Reservation Tool. Complete the details for Destination #1 as you normally would. When you move on to Destination #2, you want to select the same destination you listed for Destination #1 and list the number of nights as zero. You’ll also want to uncheck the boxes for flight, rental car and hotel. Then, in the Return Flight panel, you can enter the destination your client wants to end their trip in. Hit Search to finalize the rest of the steps of your booking, and your client will be happily on their way to an open-jaw vacation.
