The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) will celebrate Global Travel Advisor Day on May 6, recognizing the essential role travel advisors play in helping clients make the most of their time, protect their plans and travel with confidence.

Travel advisors do not simply plan trips; they help clients turn dream vacations into lifelong memories while providing support, guidance and peace of mind when plans go sideways. Their expertise and human connection offer a level of care that technology alone cannot replace.
Global Travel Advisor Day is a moment to celebrate the professionals who make travel better for their clients every day,” said Zane Kerby, President and CEO of ASTA. “Travel advisors are trusted advocates, expert planners and problem-solvers who help travelers make the most of one of life’s most precious resources: time.
ASTA, along with official sponsor Sandals, will host a live celebration on May 6 at 2 p.m. ET on ASTA’s Facebook page. The event will feature inspiring speakers and exciting prize giveaways for attendees.
Global Travel Advisor Day is also an opportunity to recognize the travel partners who help advisors succeed and to bring the industry together in celebration of the people who make meaningful travel possible.
