I recently had a chance to visit Sandals Royal Curaçao. It’s a beautiful oasis of serenity and splendor, oceanside along the Caribbean’s sparkling turquoise waters, just 40 miles off the Venezuelan coast. One of the highlights of my week was a visit to the Red Lane® Spa where I enjoyed a relaxing massage and facial. Among the luxurious offerings of the resort, which boasts an impressive array of over 20 distinct room categories, you’ll find the stunning seaside bungalows and suites, each one a testament to relaxation and ultimate comfort. During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalow. Of course, my bungalow included a dedicated butler, who anticipated my every need and even surprised me with some “unexpected delights.” The highlight for me is that my bungalow also came with a complimentary stylish and sporty MINI Cooper, giving me the freedom to explore Willemstad and sightsee this beautiful, colorful island.
I love that Sandals will help coordinate experiences to explore the island. For a one-with-nature adventure, a visit to the Curaçao Ostrich Farm promises to give you a taste of Curaçao’s wildlife, and you’ll learn some things I bet you did not know about ostriches. If you want a little more adventure, you can take advantage of the resort’s E-bikes included in your stay, to zoom around the resort or the island and discover its hidden gems.
The resort also features an Island Inclusive dining program, which allows you to check out the local food scene. I went into town, and I dined at Sal The Kitchen. This restaurant is owned by two brothers. The menu is a fusion of dishes featuring Caribbean, Mediterranean and European culinary creations. This initiative is part of the resort’s commitment to partnering with the local communities to promote their culture and give back.
