When it comes to special romantic occasions, what better way to celebrate than with a vacation? Whether it’s the beginning of a love story, such as a wedding or honeymoon, or a milestone celebration like anniversaries and vow renewals, celebrating romance is best done in a beautiful destination — and we know just the place.

Affectionately known as “The Valley Isle,” Maui is one of the largest Hawaiian Islands and a favorite among travelers. It has miles of beaches, lush waterfalls and the world’s largest dormant volcano. Visitors can snorkel, hike, golf and eat their way around the island, and running out of beautiful sites is almost impossible. Love birds visiting Maui and looking for a place to tie the knot, whether it’s just the two of them or a group of their closest friends and family, can keep Wailea Beach Resort in mind for their special occasion.

This was the first resort built on the Wailea coastline, and the property spans 22 acres and has four pool experiences. Accommodation options range from garden view guest rooms to ocean view executive suites. Dining options include a few onsite restaurants, in-room dining and a food truck — or guests can book a special picnic or Luau.

“Maui’s year-round sunshine, breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches and warm aloha spirit make it an ideal destination for unforgettable weddings,” said Kristen Lopez, senior sales executive at Wailea Beach Resort. “At Wailea Beach Resort, couples can make their special day truly extraordinary with breathtaking oceanfront venues spanning over 100,000 square feet, customizable wedding packages and a dedicated team of experts ensuring every detail is flawlessly executed.”

Unique Offerings

Wailea Beach Resort has several options for couples to elevate their stay, one being through its partnership with Maui Luxe Picnics. To craft a truly unforgettable memory, guests can choose to book a picnic before or after the big day — think rehearsal dinner, bridesmaids brunch or a date night to reminisce post-celebration. The setup can include soft lighting, elegant décor, aesthetically pleasing rugs and pillows, fresh flowers and, of course, gourmet grazing platters.

Another unique offering is Olakino, which was recently introduced at the resort. This adults-only wellness sanctuary sets the stage for a relaxing day pre- or post-wedding. Couples can choose to book a private buy-out event from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and delight in such amenities as micro-spa treatments, face masks, live music and complimentary signature amenities.

Being bathed in beauty usually means having the urge to capture everything along the way. In a world where cell phones are glued to us so as to not miss a moment, it’s nice to have the option to ditch the device and still be able to reminisce on photos later on. At Wailea Beach Resort, couples can sit back, leave their phones and cameras behind and let the resort handle the task of documenting the big day. “To capture every magical moment, the resort offers a unique Social Butler service — a dedicated social media expert available to capture behind-the-scenes content and quickly deliver shareable moments to family, friends, or social media, catering to the growing demand for instant connection,” Lopez said.
