The Vibe
The Ramble is an all-around hip and trendy hotel with a very welcoming, yet almost mysterious and exclusive vibe. The walls are dark and sultry, yet never depressing and gloomy. The Ramble was the first hotel in Denver’s RiNo District (River North Art) when the area was evolving from an industrial warehouse district into the art and design-filled neighborhood it is today.
Although the hotel looks like a beautiful restoration of an old warehouse project, it wasn’t. It was actually fully constructed to look the way it does, paying homage to the neighborhood’s roots. Walk into this red brick, factory-style, window-filled property, and you’ll notice the lobby’s seating area to the right, the small, unassuming wooden front desk straight ahead and the gorgeous (and famous) hotel bar to the left.
Dark colors mix with velvet upholstery, dim chandeliers mix with brass and steel elements mix with arched mirrors. Everything mingles in such a beautiful way that it makes guests feel like they just walked into the latest neighborhood hotspot (which it pretty much is), or a 17th-century French salon (which is what the designers were aiming for). The hotel also has an artist-in-residence program which collaborates with independent artists to showcase their work. Artists from each residency create a limited-edition, custom screen-printed bandana, exclusively for The Ramble Hotel, and offered for sale in each guestroom, with proceeds going directly back to the artist.
How I Felt
Trendy. There’s something about exposed materials, a dark space and minimal lighting that screams high-end and “in-the-know.” That’s exactly how I felt, like I just hit the jackpot with where to stay to be a cool kid in Denver.
The Digs
The rooms are just as gorgeous as the lobby. Most rooms are painted navy blue, with a striking red Persian carpet as the room’s statement piece. A variety of paintings, sketches and other imagery hang on the walls, and there is typically a light brown tufted leather footboard bench in each room. The windows mimic the ones in the lobby but are operable. There is a makeup vanity, something you never realize you need until you experience it and there’s a mini bar curated by Death & Co.
The Agenda
I enjoyed exploring the mural-filled RiNo neighborhood, with its abundance of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. I started my mornings with breakfast at The Denver Central Market before venturing into the city to check out Denver Union Station and Larimer Square. Uchi Denver is a two-minute walk from The Ramble and offers a sought-after daily happy hour.
The Eats
The hotel is best known for its lobby bar, Death & Co. It was once named one of the 50 Best Bars on the continent. As of September 1, 2026, Soda Club was introduced at The Ramble Hotel. The menu features handmade pastas and natural wines. DC/AM offers breakfast and lunch, with coffee, tea, cold-pressed juices and breakfast bites. The Garden is a charming outdoor restaurant, open seasonally (May to October) and serves refreshing drinks alongside a full dinner menu.
Why I Would Go Back
For the vibe. It’s not often I feel like I’m in the hottest spot in town that everyone is trying to get into.
