As of Feb. 10, 2021, anyone over the age of five who is entering St. Lucia must present a negative COVID-19 test result. The test must be a PCR test and it must not be taken more than five days before arrival.

Visitors 18 years and older must complete a Travel Registration Form and submit it online along with their negative test result. After that, every arrival must be authorized, which should be sent by email and will be based on:

  1. Verified reservations at a COVID-19 certified property or
  2. Verified arrangements in place to join a boat and
  3. Verification of COVID-19 PCR test results

COVID-19 safety protocols in St. Lucia are much like those in the U.S.: Masks must be worn on airplanes, in the airport and in taxis, and social distancing is encouraged.

Upon returning home to the U.S., travelers can get tested on-site at many of the island’s hotels. The St. Lucia Tourism Authority’s website has a list of the hotels currently offering tests, which they are keeping up-to-date and as of Feb. 16, lists 21 properties. St. Lucia’s website has many other helpful resources for travelers, such as a page dedicated to testing on the island with FAQs and a page with information just for international arrivals. There’s also a COVID-19 dashboard that tracks the cases in each region along with statistics like number of tests administered in St. Lucia and the number of active cases.

To simplify all of this information, St. Lucia Tourism Authority breaks it down into a short checklist:

  1. Book your stay in a COVID-19 certified property
  2. Complete and submit the Travel Registration form
  3. Take your COVID-19 PCR Test no more than 5 days before travel
  4. Log into your travel registration to upload your test result before travel
