Hotel Openings and Renovations

Ambergris Cay Turks & Caicos, Turks & Caicos

Boasting 12 new Waterside Bungalows, Ambergris Cay, the luxury all-inclusive private island resort in Turks & Caicos, is offering travelers more ways to unwind in style. Situated atop 1,100 private acres, the fresh bungalows offer guests unparalleled access to the region’s pristine sandy shoreline and sparkling blue ocean waters with six one-bedroom residences ideal for couples and small families and six two-bedroom residences designed for families and groups. Each private bungalow includes a heated plunge pool, shared terrace, indoor-outdoor living areas with floor-to-ceiling glass and complimentary kayaks and paddleboards.

Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort, Japan

As travel to Japan continues to surge, Marriott Bonvoy recently opened Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort, a 170-room hotel set along the shores of beautiful Nago Bay. With incredible views of the surrounding ocean and mountain scenery, this new property wows with contemporary interiors, two onsite dining venues, comprehensive wellness and recreation offerings, stunning event and wedding spaces and more.

Hilton Key West Resort & Marina, US

Following a recent conversion, Ocean’s Edge Resort & Marina is now Hilton Key West Resort & Marina, expanding Hilton Hotels and Resorts’ presence in the Florida Keys and offering travelers a fresh option when choosing accommodations in The Sunshine State. According to Hilton, the waterfront resort is located on Stock Island and features 175-rooms, 86 of which are suites. Hilton Key West Resort & Marina touts six saltwater pools, destination dining, a wide variety of onsite activities as well as direct marina access.

Royalton Vessence Barbados, Barbados

Following months of buzz, one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated hotel openings has finally arrived: Royalton Vessence Barbados. Situated 30 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport along Barbados’ famed Platinum Coast, the fresh adult-oriented property “reimagines the all-inclusive experience through atmosphere, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to place, designed to awaken the senses,” said Royalton Luxury Resorts. Royalton Vessence Barbados features 220 modern suites, including oceanfront and swim-out categories in addition to an elevated Diamond Club option; 17 food and beverage offerings; onsite art exhibits and hands-on creative workshops; daily live music and cultural programming and more.

Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, Mexico

Following a massive, multi-million dollar transformation, the former Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, has reopened as The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort. Now featuring improved guest rooms, new adults-only swim-up suites, fresh dining venues, reimagined wellness spaces and more, Westin says the changes result in “a thoroughly refreshed resort experience that balances Westin’s philosophy of well-being with ease and rhythm of life in Mexico’s Pacific Coast, creating a foundation for a stay defined by comfort, stunning design and connection to place.” The hotel has 280 guest accommodations, 10 culinary and mixology concepts, abundant onsite programming and wellness offerings, 11,800+ square feet of event space and more.

Noteworthy All-Inclusive Packages

Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

As of May 2026, Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya is offering new all-inclusive packages, “designed for the discerning guest seeking elevated dining, personalized service, and immersive experiences within a refined resort setting,” according to Hilton. Now, travelers can enjoy unlimited culinary exploration across the property’s 10 distinct dining venues, from Mediterranean fare and Japanese-inspired eats to fresh seaside bites; signature cocktails and access to a premium open bar operating from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; in addition to ultimate comfort throughout the duration of their stay with gratuities, 24-hour in-room dining and mini bar goodies included with the price of their stay.

Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya

Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya also recently unveiled a new “all-inclusive experience” with a special focus on the property’s culinary offerings. According to Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya, guests can now enjoy made-to-order a la carte American breakfasts at Chaya; daily lunch at any open restaurant, including poolside options; daily dinner service across the resort’s three signature restaurants Chaya, JA’O and Malpeque; poolside drinks and snacks; unlimited premium beverages including a curated selection of spirits, wines and handcrafted cocktails; a curated in-room refreshment selection; and 24-hour in-room dining.

Now Sailing: New Cruise Ships

Norwegian Luna

After completing her inaugural voyage this March, Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) newest ship, Norwegian Luna has officially hit the water. With a bold and modern design, Norwegian Luna is a beautiful vessel with no shortage of thoughtfully curated spaces and experiences for sailors to enjoy including wide-open outdoor spaces that were designed to bring guests closer to the sea. A few of the ship’s major attractions include the Aqua Slidecoaster, Luna Midway, Moon Climber, Horizon Park, Mandara Spa, Vibe Beach Club, The Haven by Norwegian and more. By way of entertainment, NCL’s Creative Studios developed a collection of high-value productions ranging from musical performances to cirque-style acrobats. As for food, the ship boasts a wide variety of complimentary dining options including a food hall and various specialty restaurants.

Trafalgar Reverie

Tour company Trafalgar entered the river cruise market this spring with the debut of Trafalgar Reverie, the group’s 128-passenger river cruise ship. Currently sailing on the Danube River, each stateroom aboard Trafalgar Reverie features a warm, thoughtfully curated design in addition to striking river views. Onboard, all meals are included, while live music, hands-on classes, onsite wellness programming and the chance to join the captain for a look at the wheelhouse keep guests active and busy.

Niche Trips and Travel Trends

Skillcations

With exciting activities like horseback riding, cattle roundups, shooting and archery, rock climbing, whitewater rafting and even line dancing, True Ranch Collection has leaned hard into the cowboy lifestyle via its curated collection of “dude ranch vacations.” And, as more and more travelers seek authentic experiences that help them discover new interests and hobbies along the way, True Ranch Collection has taken the opportunity to coin the term “skillcations,” vacations that help travelers level up their skills, to describe the brand’s product offerings.

Digital Detoxes

In response to travelers’ growing desire to disconnect and unplug while away from home, solo travel company Flash Pack recently debuted “The — Pause,” a collection of wellbeing-inspired itineraries designed to help vacationers unplug and reconnect with themselves and others. According to Flash Pack, the collection includes four distinct itineraries: Colombia: Island Renewal, Ecuador: Amazon Awakening, South Africa: Sense Safari and Spain: Nature’s Reset. “We are excited to introduce a new kind of travel experience,” said Lee Thompson, co-founder of Flash Pack. “Since launching in 2014, we’ve encouraged travelers to step outside their comfort zones and face new challenges. Now we’re asking travelers to take on something different — and arguably harder — which is to pause. We want people to slow down and reconnect with what really matters.”
