ALG Vacations® Announces New FAM Strategy for 2024

ALG Vacations® (ALGV) has announced a new FAM strategy for ALGV2024 – “ALGV Pros on the Go.” Two mega-FAMs will replace the 20 escorted FAMs that ALGV hosted in previous years without decreasing the number of travel advisors attending or hotels toured. ALGV Pros on the Go will consist of approximately 150 travel advisors staying at multiple resorts and touring one of eight unique hotel itineraries. The agenda will also include excursions, a giveback activity and a one-day training session with all advisors in attendance. The training day will consist of presentations and workshops from ALGV as well as third-party seminars on destination photography and confidently charging professional fees.

The 2024 ALGV Pros on the Go mega-FAMs will take place in Cancun (April 9-13) and Punta Cana (June 19-23). Invitees will be selected by ALGV Business Development Managers and will include advisors from all U.S. sales regions, along with host agencies. Participants will include a mix of opportunity advisors who can better grow sales to the destination after experiencing it first-hand, as well as seasoned advisors who would benefit from a first-hand look at properties. All travel advisor participants are required to complete ALGVPro certification prior to travel.

We think ALGV Pros on the Go will be another extremely popular in-destination event for the travel advisor community.”

A cornerstone of all ALGV’s in-person events in 2024 will be a giveback opportunity to provide support to the local community. Giveback events consist of donation collections as well as an on-site service activity. In 2023, more than 2000 travel advisors participated in hands-on and donation initiatives benefitting charities such as Manos de Amor in Puerto Vallarta, Montego Bay Animal Haven, La Escuelita de Sonia in Cancun and many others.
