The Vibe

As the luxury brand of Palladium Hotel Group, TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres had a chill adult vibe. I spent most of my time at the pool, which had quiet and calming music always setting the atmosphere in the background. Guests were often lounging and sun bathing in lawn chairs or sipping drinks in the pool, following their own agenda.

How I Felt

Peaceful. From the mellowness from the absence of children to the quiet music at the pool, there wasn’t much to ruffle my feathers or interrupt my relaxed mindset. I’m also a sucker for a good beach and the beach had plenty of room to spread out and the sand was so soft.

The Digs

My friend and I each had our own queen bed with lots of fluffy pillows. We both live for a good patio and we spent plenty of time on our private balcony taking in the views.

The Agenda

We didn’t really have an agenda; we did whatever the wind told us to do. We stayed on-property all three days and split our time at the beach and at one of the three pools. Each night, we had dinner reservations and went to a different rooftop bar after each dinner. We didn’t find much night life so we went to bed at a reasonable time each night and woke up refreshed.

The Eats

Reservations were definitely recommended for most of the restaurants. We were only there for three nights so we didn’t get to go to all of the restaurants, but I wish we could have. Every restaurant had great service and amazing food. Our butler helped us book dinner reservations and we even got room service a few times, which was always pleasantly speedy.

Why I Would Go Back

The spa was the thing that stood out the most. I’ve never had that kind of spa experience and it was included! Food is also an important part of my day and the TRS Coral did not disappoint. We spent a few hours relaxing at the spa after our paid massage. The sauna, steam room, ice room, salt room, ice scrub, hot/ice pools, rinse showers and a jet pool were all included. The jet pool was amazing; they had 15+ jet areas of the pool, different areas for feet, back, loungers, etc. They even had a nice bar/restaurant upstairs where we ate lunch and enjoyed the views of the infinity pool.

I also noticed how accessible the resort was with ramps, wide walkways and beach wheelchairs available at each beach entrance. This was refreshing to see.
