According to RIU, the four-star property has been upgraded to RIU Palace’s top-of-the-line option and was adapted to join RIU’s Adults Only concept in late 2025. Described as “timeless and elegant” by the brand, all 248 rooms at Riu Palace Calypso include a neutral color palette and upgraded furnishings to ensure a comfortable stay. Further, all of the hotel’s communal areas have been renovated, with the lobby being expanded to optimize sea views and natural light and new communal areas in the form of a fresh outdoor lounge bar and an indoor lounge bar with Balinese beds inside the solarium. Dining has been refined to include three options with Krystal — a gourmet al la carte restaurant — being the most recent addition to the property’s culinary line up.
