The VAX team loved seeing agents’ smiling faces at Ascend, a tradeshow and workshop event hosted by Apple Leisure Group (ALG) on September 10 in Chicago. The energy was high and many in attendance were excited to learn more about what was new with the ALG vacation brands and what was new on VAX.
The day of learning began with a number of workshop sessions focused on brand training, social media and the ins-and-outs of VAX. Of course we were happy to represent VAX and were curious to hear what the “10 best VAX hacks to close more business” were, so we sat in on two presentations led by Ben Recob from ALG’s implementation team who killed it as he taught agents how to effectively search, book, filter and save money by booking the ALG brands on VAX.
After the workshops, the tradeshow began and we mingled with agents between bites of spinach puffs and complimentary drinks alongside ALG’s new Chief Executive Officer Alejandro Reynal who made the rounds and said hello. Based on agent feedback it seems that many people are using VAX and enjoying their experience on VAX which makes us super excited to hear. The workshop on social media also gave me the perfect opportunity to namedrop The Compass, aka the editorial section of VAX with exciting industry content curated just for agents and the very site you’re on right now. Of course, agents did inform us of functionalities on the site that were driving them bonkers and areas where we can improve and I’m happy to report that we plan to bring this feedback back to the team for discussion.
